For the latest chapter of their sonic manifesto, Yoo Doo Right (Montréal, QC) engage with deep sonic exploration, purposeful looping motifs, and dynamic walls of sound, reigniting their unwavering connection to experimental music. In turn, tracks from Build and Rest by the Shepherd’s Light range from loud, amplified forreys into post-rock and krautrock, all the way to highly-tempered, effects-laden pieces akin to ambient, noise, and drone. Straying away from pragmatic boundaries, this offering opts for a rather symbolic approach to creation, the different pieces free to unfold in a myriad of ways upon listening. From the creators’ point of view, the album chronicles the hardships of artistic resolve, acknowledging the daily grind required to keep the momentum going, all the while embracing the shared joy that permeated the creation process. Build and Rest by the Shepherd’s Light was recorded by Ky Brooks at Hotel2Tango (GY!BE, Wolf Parade, Do Make Say Think) and Error 403 in Montréal (QC), mixed by Seth Manchester at Machine with Magnets (Battles, Lightning Bolt, Deer Tick) in Pawtucket (RI), and mastered by Amar Lal at Macro Sound (Pile, Hannah Frances, Titus Andronicus) in Oakland (CA). Its cover art shows a photograph taken in Ovronnaz, CH by Julia Bender. Yoo Doo Right’s fourth full-length is scheduled for release on November 6th, 2026 via Mothland.

Pour le prochain chapitre de son manifeste sonore, Yoo Doo Right (Montréal, QC) se lance dans une exploration timbrique approfondie, des motifs qui se répètent résolument et des murs de son cinétiques, ravivant sa connexion indéfectible avec la musique expérimentale. S’en suivent sur Build and Rest by the Shepherd’s Light des morceaux allant des incursions bruyantes et amplifiées dans le post-rock et le krautrock, jusqu'à des pièces hautement tempérées et chargées d'effets, proches de l'ambient, du noise et du drone. Faisant fi des limites pragmatiques, cette offrande opte plutôt pour une approche symbolique, les différentes pistes étant libres de se déployer de multiples façons à l'écoute. Du point de vue des créateurs, l’album relate la détermination artistique, les obstacles sur le chemin et le travail quotidien nécessaire pour maintenir l'élan, tout en embrassant la joie partagée qui a imprégné le processus créatif.
